Material¶
Recommended: - PETG (good balance of stiffness and durability) - ABS/ASA (heat resistant, requires enclosure)
Avoid (for long-term mounts): - PLA (can deform under heat / sunlight)
Baseline settings (start here)¶
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Perimeters: 4+
- Infill: 30–40%
- Supports: only where needed
- Heatset inserts: optional
Fit check¶
Before final assembly: - dry-fit the phone - verify no sharp edges touch phone body - verify strap channels are clean
Print orientation tips¶
- Align layer lines to resist strap tension
- Avoid thin cantilevers without supports
- If the mount vibrates, increase wall thickness and add ribs
